Two more days till throw down and I am patiently ready. I am ahead of the game weight wise and feel decent. Its amazing how less stressful training camp is nearing the fight when the start of your camp isn’t littered with injury. luckily this fight I have avoided that, which is relieving considering my last 3 fights I haven’t. I have had a great camp this time, especially conditioning and dieting wise, huge thanks to Jeff Van Dam from Iron Fist Athletics. I am more lean, stronger, and have better cardio then ever before which really helps the confidence going into a fight against my only BFL loss. Although the Bully didn’t by any means ‘beat me up’, he utilized the wrestlers point game and controlled enough that the judges leaned in his favor. With that fresh in my mind, my conditioning is more then ready for a possible 5 hard rounds. The addition of a solid team and a great fan attendance makes me feel like I have the full recipe for a championship.
2 more days and all I have to do is take what I have worked so hard for. I am focused, rested, and most of all ready.
A special thanks to my girlfriend, Katie Smith, for all her hard work with my promotions. Look for her and her Jaguar Girls this friday at the event selling 50/50 tickets and raising money for Movember. Check out her Facebook for future events.

This last week we worked really hard and pushed it so I can be ready for a possible 5 rounds. The guys at Impact have been working very hard with me. Graham Spencer, Andrew Buckland, Shaun Payne, Nick Hinchliffe, and Aaron Bruce have been helping me along and feeding me my beats. Each one has a different strength and skill set to help keep me well rounded with all aspects of MMA. A few of these guys have also been in big 5 round fights before, including the current hardknock champion Andrew Buckland. I have been able to acknowledge all their tips and suggestions on preparation for such a big fight in my career. I am very fortunate to have an amazing team at Impact and a great coach, John Punt, who has been putting in the extra hours with me. Without my team I wouldn’t be where I am today, they train with me, sweat with me, and will win with me. Im going to take all their experience and hard work, scrunch it up in a ball and use it to bring everything I have to Micah Brakefield. I will defeat him with all that I have and finally take whats mine, The Battlefield 185 Championship Belt.

Just under a week away for BFL 12, and I feel great. Weight is good, energy is good, and I already have my game plan set to take on Micah Brakefield on November 18th. My team at Impact MMA has been awesome and having a base to a camp like that is essential, especially in a fight as big as this one. I have all the tools, I have prepared myself to the best of my ability, and the only thing left is to get on weight, and go out there and give Battlefield fans what they want to see in a main event title fight like this one. I am honored to be a part of this event and to have such a talented opponent. I look forward to throwing down and battling on the 18th. Micah Brakefield… I hope your ready.
